hi @ all,
is the add-on analoge in/output-boad also designed to add to your 4-ch-amp?
or can i just use the analoge 1/2 or 3/4 on the borad by welding some pins?
If yes, how is the pin matrix?
Thanks

Hi,
There is no analogue input on the Beocreate, only outputs. While the DAC/ADC add-on board might work on the Beocreate, it's not a simple thing to implement this. We never tried it by ourselves, but it will need at least an individual DSP profile. I would only recommend to experiment with this for very experienced users.
Best regards,
Daniel
I also have been wondering what those Analog 1/2, and 3/4 are for. Is there any way to implement 'op amp' stage between PCM4104 and TPA3128 ?! I noticed that ClassD generally works fine for legacy speakers, but tends to be a bit tiring for new, modern speakers while listening long hours.
These are differential DAC outputs. They are there for debugging purposes. While theoretically you could implement your own buffer end power stage from there, I don't think this makes much sense as you're basically throwing away most of the Beocreate's hardware.
Did you listen to the Beocreate? If something is "tiring", you can easily adjust the sound profile in a way that works better for you by adding filters.
Thanks for prompt answer ! Yes, I do listen to Beo, and TPA3255 amp with BB opas(2134), side by side, with Elac Debut 6.2 speakers. But I tend to listen to 3255 more and longer, hence the question above. I find it's a bit daunting to add my own filters, and actually haven't tried it yet, other than the easy 'Listening mode' menu which doesn't suffice my needs... I'd highly appreciate if you could point me to some example or tutorial docs which I can refer to.
Cheers,
Just experiment with parametric equalizers >10kHz. Try reducing it a bit, your other amplifier might damp these frequencies a bit.
Wow, I think you knew exactly what I mean and gave me a pertinent prescription !
I'm experimenting with 9~11kHz, - 1~3dB range and begin to hear the effect, which surprisingly approaches my ears' satisfaction !!
I think I'll have to give it a few trials to find my sweet spot, and forget about opas for the time being.
Many many thanks for your valuable advise.
Cheers,
Hello HiFiBerry team,
I am very interested to use one of this outputs. Can you please share a documentation of the pin configuration.
Thank you,
Heinrich
