Help: Adding XLR or 6.5mm INPUT Jacks to DAC+ ADC Pro

What's the best way to go about adding XLR or 6.5mm INPUT jacks to the DAC+ ADC Pro?

The datasheet shows 6 pins which provide balanced analog input. Is the idea to run some wires from the pins and solder them onto a XLR/6.5mm receptacle?

Presumably these wires would ideally be shielded?

My other question do those 6 pins support 2 3-pin XLR jacks? How might this be configured on the software side of things?

Idea: A hat with the connections attached. Alternatively, for the price, having these connectors already on the board would seem reasonable.

  Hi,

  yes, the data sheet shows a left and a right channel. You can connect two 3-pin XLR connectors to this. Keep the cables short and no shielding is needed.
  Having these connectors on board is just not possible. If you have a look on the board by yourself, you will see that there is no space for these.

  If I want to have mono XLR connection than I can connect only to L?

  Curious what board the team would recommend if i wanted audio input only. the XLR boards do not support input correct so when looking at this question the main issue is how to find a high quality conversion cable from xlr to 6pin or have a board for those focused on input only and drop the rca outs to make room?
