Amp+ is falsely recognised as DAC

Hello there,

I’m currently facing a problem with my Amp+, which is falsely recognised as DAC+/ not recognised by my Raspberry Pi, depending on the used Raspbian image.

My hardware:

  • Raspberry Pi 3 Model B V1.2
  • HIFIBerry Amp+ 1.0
  • Powersupply: Mean Well 18V/3.33A (the one from your website)
  • MicroSD card

 

If I use the Raspbian Image from the download-section here, my amp+ seems to be recognised as dac:

Since I read about defect microSD cards I bought a new one and experienced the same issues. I also bought a new power supply, because sometimes I see a "Undervoltage" warning on booting the RPI and in some of this cases a reboot. But I suppose this problem only occurs, when i connect a monitor via HDMI. And I remounted the Amp+ several times new on my Raspberry to check if there only some loose connections (?).

At this point I assume a hardware problem, but I don't know if this is the RPI or the Amp+?

And I don't understand why I get different results, depending which image i use?
