HifiBerry rejected return? Customer service?

I received two USB interfaces that do not work with the XLR DAC and posted them both back to have them rejected by so I did not get my refund and lost $15 on postage.

How the hell do you reject a return and faulty item that is delivered to your door? This is awful customer service.

I'll be sure to let all the discords, forums and reviewers know about this treatment.
