Hi,
I had a power outage (somebody pulled the plug on my Pi), and no sound after that.
Reinstalled the DSP profile, that looked as though it went fine..
But when I want to apply my REW filters I was using before, I get the error:
"16 filters given, but filter bank has only 0.0 slots."
No matter what DSP profile I install, this problem remains.
I'm using the latest Raspbian.
I'd love to be able to fix this without doing a complete reinstall.
Any tips?
I'm trying reinstalling dsptoolkit, but it freezes on building the wheel for lxml.
So I tried "sudo apt-get install python3-lxml", which works fine.
But still when reinstalling I get this (the last line freezes):

Alright, I somehow got it working again.
Uninstalled hifiberry package : "sudo pip3 uninstall hifiberry",
then just ignored the lxml problem by doing a "sudo pip3 install --upgrade --no-deps hifiberrydsp",
after which I reinstalled the DSP profile " dsptoolkit install-profile https://raw.githubusercontent.com/hifiberry/hifiberry-dsp/master/sample_files/xml/dacdsp-default.xml"
and tadaa - applying rew filters works, I got my filter slots back!

I have similar issue but... in my case the whole Raspbian is freshly installed & this is my first time with REW filters.
After:

<<< DSP profile https://raw.githubusercontent.com/hifiberry/hifiberry-dsp/master/sample_files/xml/dacdsp-default.xml installed
I've tried:
>>> pi@raspberrypi:~/filters $ dsptoolkit apply-rew-filters tannoy_4a.txt
<<< '20 filters given, but filter bank has only 16 slots'
When I've removed 4 lines from 'tannoy_4a.txt' files, it worked but... I feel like this is still an issue (?) Or 16 is the limit of DAC?

the DSPProfile has only 16 slots. If you want to use more, you need to create your own DSP profile. However, 16 should be more than enough for almost any correction. Don't try to "over-optimize"!
