HiFiBerry + B&O Powerlink

I've seen a lot of useful information about up cycling older B&O equipment.

What I'm missing - maybe it's somewhere and I did not find it ...

Situation:

• I want to use HiFiBerry to be the streaming source to one pair of B&O Beolab 4000 (= active speaker).
• HiFiBerry should turn the speakers on or off via PowerLink.

What products do I really need?

  Hi,

  we do not support Powerlink. You can use a Raspberry Pi with a HiFiBerry DAC+ to stream music to your active speakers.

  And does that combination automatically switch the speakers via line connectors on?

  I don't know how the Beolab 4000 works, but with a pair of Beolab Penta's this works fine here. Therefore I would expect that it also works with the 4000s.

  I am pondering upon the same thing, but rather need a pointer where to look for the most suitable ”signal” of a source being active in HifiberryOS to act as a speakers on-state trigger. I can figure out the eventual scripting and electronics myself.
