What do you think about adding more input and output channels to our DAC+ DSP?

HiFiBerry team The 2x2 DAC/ADC add-on board for the DAC+ DSP is now available for beta testers at a reduced beta-test price:

hagbrain For me personal, more digital inputs would be nice to use the Hifiberry DSP as a single I/O part that can handle 2 or 3 digital inputs to process it and sent it to the amplifer over a single digital out or analog out. And together with your plan to add a USB capability to use it as USB DAC, my actual DAC might be waste in the future.
Thank you for the great products!
Best regards,
Michael

Kyle Simpson Hi team,
I saw this and it pretty much hit on the nose for a project I would like to get started on at some point. I am looking at building an RPi as a head unit for my car, and having 6 channels of output for amplifiers ( 4 channels + 2 sub channels) with controllable cross over points would be fabulous. That would require bring able to stack at least 2 hats, though.

HiFiBerry team Hi,
unfortunately this isn't possible easily. While in general it would be possible to do this, you can't just stack 2 add-on boards. While it would be possible to use 2 add-on-boards, this would require a special cable (to route other signals to the second board) and on the second board only the output would be active.
Best regards,

Kyle Simpson For what I have envisioned/planned in this particular project, inputs are not overly necessary. I am concerned more with the outputs.
