I have just setup a pi 3b+ with an AMP+ running picoreplayer. Everything is running great at lower volumes. When i turn up the volume to about 3/4 the sound starts dropping out. I can turn down the volume and then everything is back to normal. I am using a mean well power supply at 18V to power the pi/amp+. Any ideas on what could be the issue?

HiFiBerry team Is it an Amp+ or Amp2? I guess, it's an Amp2 as the Amp+ isn't compatible with the 3B+.
Best regards,

Mark Wedge Yes it is an Amp2. Sorry about the typos.

Tim Reece I've just noticed this as well. Any fix for it?

John Gordon Help! Same problem. Did you ever find a solution?

Tim Reece Hi John,
In my case it was user error/stupidity. I had connected both channels from the Amp to one speaker in an attempt to downmix stereo to mono. Surprised I didn’t blow up the Amp.
I ended up doing this with software instead. With the added bonus of being able to run two stereo/mono outputs from 1 Amp.
In testing I found that I needed to be on the latest Pi Raspbian distro and kernel and latest squeezelite version. Before that I was seeing issues with audio quality or no audio at all.
