hey! just got my dac+adc today, first of all id like to say that im super impressed, using it for real time audio, doing pretty heavy processing and i can go down to about 4ms roundtrip latency at 96000 with no dropouts! kudus for that!!
i have two questions: first, is it possible to find the pin layout somewhere? i need to add some switches to my pi so id like to know which are available, and second id like to add balanced inputs and outputs, i might confuse stuff but do i need to add a negative -5v rail?
thanks!

HiFiBerry team Hi,
you can find the used GPIOs here:
https://www.hifiberry.com/build/documentation/gpio-usage-of-hifiberry-boards/
(they are the same as for the DAC+ standard)
About balanced inputs/outputs:
- there is a header for balanced inputs on the board. You find the documentation here:
https://www.hifiberry.com/build/documentation/datasheet-dac-adc/
You don't need a negative supply voltage
- there is NO balanced output on this board.
What software are you using for sound processing?
Best regards,
Daniel -
francis66 thanks for the super fast reply, i see, i thought there are balanced outputs as well, but thats not a big deal, i care more about the inputs (need headroom :)
i use pure data on the p3b+, stretch lite, headless -
francis66 another question, i need a case for the rpi / dac+ adc, which should ideally have some extra space because i need to add 2x mono 6.35mm jacks for input and 2x mono 6.35mm jacks for output, i would love to save time and not build it myself but modify something existing, is there anything you could recommend?

HiFiBerry team I don't think there is a case that has enough space to add four 6.5mm jacks. They require quite a lot of space. Therefore, I think you need to create something by yourself.
Best regards,
Daniel
