Currently using a few in-wall RPi 7" touchscreens with HiFiBerry DAC RCA running Kodi/LibreELEC, all works fine until splitting audio out to multiple receivers using some Y cables. Receivers are all in one cabinet.
Was going to order the Rolls DA134 four channel distribution amplifier x3 @ $100, because it uses RCA, but wanted to ask if I'd have better sound if I replace RCA DAC's with DiGi spdif boards since my receivers all have multiple spdif in/out.
Just 3 Pi screens would get the DiGi boards as they handle whole house audio. (No issue running new spdif/fiber, 15-20 feet max distance).
Do DiGi boards require additional power/wall wart?
