I'm very enthusiastic about the Beocreate. No issues at all with the B&O software or Volumio and even Moode audio 4.0 works excellent. With this hard and software the sound of a pair CX50 is amazing!
Now it's time to make a rotary volume knob and a power on/off switch.
What are the free GPIO's for the Raspberry Pi in combination with the Beocreate?
I would also love to get more info on this! A knob or a slider would be ideal.
Can the RPi power Beocreate on/off, or will you have to cut the power completely?

there are 9 GPIOs from the Raspberry Pi available on the Beocreate GPIO. Check out the documentation here:

There is no option to turn off the Beocreate completely. You can reset the DSP and mute the power stages. This will reduce the amount of power consumed by the board - especially if you run complex DSP programs. MUTE and RESET GPIOs are also documented on the pages linked above.
