I am curious what the benefit is of using a Beocreate bord versus an AMP+ to drive a CX 50?
If you reuse the existing filter and put an AMP+ in front of this wouldn't you end up with a similar solution?

What do you mean by "reuse the existing filters"? The Amp+/Amp2 doesn't have a powerful DSP and they are only 2-way amplifiers. Therefore, you can't replace the existing crossovers with the Amp+/Amp2. If you're happy with the speakers as they are, the Amp2 is a cheap alternative to the Beocreate 4-channel amplifier.
Note that the Beocreate software does not support the Amp2. You will need to use a 3rd party software for music playback.

Sorry, I meant Crossover.
So yes, as you explained that is what I was wondering. If I am happy with the CX-50 speaker I can connect a AMP2 to it reusing the existing Crossover. So except not being able to use the Beocreate software what other differences are there? The price difference is €100,- which is fine if it gives me a better sounding speaker but I am having trouble identifying the main differences.
The main difference is that the passive crossover will be replaced by an active crossover. With this there are configurations possible, that you can't do with the Amp2. It will sound a bit different. Will it sound "better"? That's also a matter of personal preferences and only you can answer this by comparing it.
However, if you're happy with the sound of your CX50 as they are today, the Amp2 is a lot cheaper and you can use it with the CX50.
There are other potential uses of the Beocreate board like room equalisation, that might come up in the future.
Best regards,
Daniel
