could be possible to you to share the CX50 DSP profile that the Beocreate software installs on the beocreate board?
I' would like to try installing the DSP server on the Volumio distro and program it with the profile of CX50

Sure, you can download all profiles here:
http://downloads.hifiberry.com/beocreate/profiles/
Best regards,
Daniel
BTW: If you just want to program the board without changing parameters at the runtime, you can do this just with the Beocreate software. The profile will be stored on the EEPROM and will be automatically activated after a reboot, even if the DSP tools aren't installed.
Best regards,
Daniel
so, i could install the Beocreate software, load the right profile then, i colud simply swap the sd from another raspberry pi 3 that i use with a volumio distro and the beocreate board should work with the CX50 profile?
Yes. Have a look here:
https://www.hifiberry.com/beocreate/beocreate-doc/beocreate-use-the-board-with-3rd-party-software/
Best regards,
Daniel
i'm trying to setup Volumio but i can't hear no sound from the board, i've selected HIFIBerry DAC from the sound profile , what i'm doing wrong ?
You have installed the sound profile before with the Beocreate software and you got a sound output with this?
Best regards,
Daniel
i Just swopped a working beocreate SD with a working Volumio SD and then, changed the profile to HIFIBerry DAC from within the Volumio web interface at: http://volumio.local/plugin/audio_interface-alsa_controller
( yes i've installed the CX50 profile)
So with the Beocreate software, the sound output was workign - correct?
What is the output of "aplay -l" on your Volumio installation?
Best regards,
Daniel
volumio@volumio:~$ aplay -l

If it was working with the Beocreate software, it looks like a configuration problem on Volumio. As the onboard sound is still configured, I guess, Volumio uses this to output music. Check if you can disable this in the settings.
Best regards,
Daniel
so, what i'll need to disable? sorry but i don't understand, i've tryed a factory reset on Volumio but it's the same
Hi,
we don't use Volumio here. I also don't know a lot of people using it, therefore I can't say how to do this. You can try disabling onboard audio in /boot/config.txt but I can't say if this might break things or if it will be overwritten somehow.
Best regards,
Daniel
Hello,
I did exactly what you did and it worked like a charm with the current Volumio.
Which release do you use?
Best of Luck,
Ingo
2.368
but i'll try to install it from a scratch a volumio iso and retry, if you confirm that it works...
@Ingo Storm,
how did you do? can you please tell me all the procedure? i'm doing it with a new iso but can't have sound!
I at work right now, but I will check again later.
BTW: Have you removed the "Mute" jumper? It is no. 4 in the second picture on this web page:
https://www.hifiberry.com/beocreate/beocreate-doc/beocreate-hardware-documentation/
It was set on my unit and the lack of documentation cost me a couple of hours, too ;-)
so ... removing the mute jumper (thanks Ingo Storm) and reinstalling from scratch now volumio works (very) well, I had been deceived by the fact that with the beocreate software it was not necessary to remove the jumper..
I use a new DAC+DSP Board together with Volumio and get no output.
How did you configure Volumio?
Hi,
you need to use the "hifiberry-dac" overlay. Check with "aplay -l" that it is configured.
Best regards,
Daniel
can I install this overlay somehow...
the output of aplay -l is...

This looks ok. However, I don't know if Volumio is really USING the second card as the onboard sound is still enabled.
Best regards,
Daniel
how can i disable the onboard card?
Usually by editing /boot/config.txt, but this might break the Volumio setup. To be sure that output if working fine, I would recommend to install a plain Raspbian and test the output with this.
Best regards,
Daniel
