Does anyone have any suggestions about how to improve the wifi reception of a Raspberry Pi 3 inside a CX50? There's not a lot of depth to add a USB extension cable for an external adaptor. I've tried a 90 degree angle USB cable, but no luck.
I might have to resort to soldering a custom USB plug, but was wondering if anyone had a better idea?

The U.Fl connector setup is really neat, but you need excellent soldering skills, and a stereo mikroscope and ideally some high-lead repair soldering wire.
The Top mount variant is a lot easier.
