Is HiFiBerry ADC8x add-on also compatible with HiFiBerry Studio DAC8x?

No, it's not. It can only be used with the "normal" DAC8x

Thank you for responding so quickly.

Are there any plans for a similar add-on that could be used with the Studio DAC8X? So, a line-in ADC, not a microphone one.

Or, if this is a software limitation, could the compatibility of the existing HW be extended?

There might be an addon coming in the future, but we won't commit to this until we decided to release it.
