HiFiBerry team > While using Parametric Equilization. I set my A and B to 60hz and above and I tried to set C (what I thought was the subwoofer) to 60hz and below - but it just made it so the right channel didn’t play any audio.
Sounds like your right channel is connected to the C output
> Second - using the Hifiberry room measurement - should I be moving the microphone a bit between each of the four sound tests?
No, we don't recommend this. In the important frequency range <200Hz, this won't make a difference.
> Should I use REW instead? Would it be a significant improvement? I can I’m just not sure how to load those files into Hifiberry OS afterwards.
Feel free to try. We feel, our RoomEq wizar is easier to use. REW has lots of options and you need to be careful not to create over-optimized settings that try to create a perfectly flat frequency response. This will create lots of filters without improving sound quality. -
Benihana Thank you. I initially forgot to mention that I have a DAC+DSP card - so I wasn’t sure where the “C” channel confusion was coming from. But I also realized how is the card supposed to know I have a subwoofer?
Given the above I have everything setup correctly. It’s sounding great but I wanted to know.
