Hi have been using a HiFiBerry DAC2 Pro with DSP for quite some time now and recentrly I build my own DAC. Now I need a digital input for my DAC so I purchased the Hifiberry Digi2 Pro V2.2 and swapped it over in the housing with the DSP Board, but now I do not get any sound out of it.
I tried everything that I found in this cummunity, but no success. My DAC is working wth my Philips DVD 963-SA player, but not the Hifiberry Digi2 Pro V2.2.
It is run on HifiberryOS 20230404

I am using a TDA1543 based non oversampling DAC
That's an incorrect driver. Try removing /etc/hifiberry.state and reboot.
Ok it now shows
But no sound.
I guess my DAC chip TDA1543 is not supported
Do you have the DSP add-on connected? If yes, first try without the DSP add-on. That simplifies the process figuring out what's going on.
Yes, I tried both with and without DSP connected.
Strange. Do you have another DAC to test with?
Yes, I have a NAD C338 amp with 2 digital input but no difference.
I do get a short crackling noise some times.
Check the cable. You can also try if there's a difference when using the TOSLink output.
I used different cables, but do not have a toslink cable. I will purchase one and will test again tomorrow.
Thanks for the help so far. The crackling noise only happens only when playing audio (Spotify) when paused no noise.
As the driver is configured correctly and the same Pi was working with the DAC2 Pro (right?), there might also be a hardware problem with the Digi. You might contact the dealer you bought it from.
Yes the pi is working with the DAC2 pro. I will contact my dealer SOS Solutions.
