Hi, I am planning to build 8ch AMP based on ICEPower 125ASX2 modules. Could DAC8x directly drive this AMP? Input impedance of 125ASX2 is frequency dependent, reaching below 6kOhm ak 20kHz per channel. Or do you recommend using some kind of buffer between DAC8x outputs and ICEPower inputs? Thanks for any thoughts.

HiFiBerry team No buffer is needed. The DAC8x should be able to drive this just fine.

Mario Great, thanks for answer

Geoff W Yeah, it should be fine. I have three implementations currently running:
DAC8X on Pi 5 feeding 4 stereo pairs to Rotel RKB-1508 in my lounge, dining and outdoor areas. I believe the Rotel has 4 ICEpower amps inside. I shared my working alsa configuration elsewhere on this forum.
IQaudIO DAC on Pi 4B feeding stereo to ICEpower 125ASX2 in my office.
IQaudIO DAC on Pi4B feeding stereo to a TZT amp in my workshop.
All works great and the sound is good.
