Adding an Input to Raspberry Pi with DAC+ DSP

Hi,

lately I've been thoroughly enjoying my DAC+ DSP as a standalone streamer via Roon and as the sound card for my desktop PC using the Toslink input.
Over the last few days, I've been trying to find a way to add another input—either analog or digital—to my Pi so I can also play audio from my work laptop. However, after searching extensively, I haven't been able to find any documented method or even a "hacky" workaround to achieve this.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how this could be done? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Your documentation lists a 2x2 DAC+DSP addon board which seems to be abandoned. Is this the case?

  If your using HiFiBerryOS: There is no way to add this easily today.
  
  However, if you want to build your own system, you can have a look at the USB gadget driver. Some people seem to have success with it. Using the dwc2 and g_audio modules, you can make your Raspberry Pi to act like an USB sound card when it is connected to your computer. It's not a trivial thing to do (as you also need some kind of audio routing engine), but if you like to experiement, this is something you might have a look at.

  Yes, this board is not sold anymore.
