New Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 not working with HiFiBerryOS

Hello, new Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 is not working with HiFiBerryOS (Linux hifiberry 20230404 - 5.15.78-v7 #1 SMP Mon Apr 3 17:34:29 UTC 2023 armv7l GNU/Linux on Raspberry Pi 3 B+ Rev 1.2).

I did test it with newest Raspberry OS and the display works fine, so this is not a hardware issue.

Can anyone advise what to do? I added the following to config.txt, but it did not work.

  Your best chance is HiFiBerryOS64, but it has not been tested with this.

  I did try with latest HiFBerryOS64 alpha 8 and it now partially works. I see some screen but I was unable to rotate it and enable touch screen. Everything else works fine, including Tidal connect except Spotify for some reason.

  Hello, I have made some progress. I replaced vc4-kms-dsi-ili9881-7inch.dtbo with the one from latest Volumio test version with the following config as per their advisory:

  [all]
  display_auto_detect=1
  # Match your rotation counter clockwise 0, 90, 180, 270 degree
  dtoverlay=vc4-kms-dsi-ili9881-7inch,rotation=90

  However, touch still does not work and it does not display art work from Tidal connect. Spotify works but only via AirPlay.

  You won't get any cover art from Tidal. AFAIK there simply is no support for this.
