Hi, I gave up using HifiberryOS with my DAC2 HD, in favour of Moode, a few years ago because it would not connect with my NAS (or any NAS!). However, I spent good money on the Hifiberry DSP board and had to remove it to use Moode, which does not need a hardware DSP. Last week I though I would try Hifiberry OS again to see if I could access my music on my NAS and make use of the expensive DSP board. However, nothing seems to have changed. In fact I was surprised to see that none of the faults in Hifiberry OS have been rectified or developed. Is HifiberryOS now unsupported old software? That makes the Hifiberry DSP boards next to useless, as they are not supported in alternatives like Moode or Volume.

HiFiBerry team There are a lot of users that use it with a NAS and we have it running here as well. However, we can't guarantee that this will work out-of-the-box in any environment. Could it be more robust? Probably. However, as we only have 2 NAS devices here, that's all we can test with. If somebody finds a problem and provides a bugfix, we're happy to integrate it.
If you studied the HiFiBerryOS web site you probably noticed that there is active work on HiFiBerryOS64.
You don't need to use HiFiBerryOS to use the DSP. If you want to use the DSP board with another player software, you can simply configure it and write the settings to the DSP.

Mario I had the same problem until i found out that I cannot play *.wav files. flac and mp3 are working.... which is kinda strange but for me flac is an option though
