I have a Hifiberry digi pro 2 (version 2.1) running on a Rasberry Pi 3.
Has anybody noticed any benefits from using a later Pi release?
I see that a Pi 3 only has a 100mb network speed.. and that i would need to buy a version 2.2 digi pro 2 to be compatable with a pi 4 or pi 5.

100MB is more than enough even for uncompressed audio. As long as you're happy with the performance of the system, you can just stick with it. It'll probably consume less energy than a Pi4 or Pi5.
Even the Pi3 can already run 64bit software.
I have recently changed from pi3 to pi4. Sound quality is noticeably better, however I am running a large asoundrc file for crossover and equalisation.
