DAC+ ADC & PCP & Pi5 = red light

Until yesterday, I was working a fully functional setup with a Raspberry Pi 5 running piCorePlayer (9.2) and the HiFiBerry DAC+ ADC.  It was still working yesterday morning.

This morning, it did not work. I assumed the SD card might have been corrupted, so I installed PCP again on a new SD card. But when I switched the audio output to the DAC+ ADC board, it stopped working and I cannot even access the PCP user interface anymore.

I noticed there was a red light turned on on the DAC+ ADC board (D1). What does this mean? Is my board broken or is it a software failure?

My other setup using a Pi 3 and just the DAC+ board is still running fine. Might this be related to the Pi 5 acting funky?

  The light just shows that the driver has been loaded. That's fine. Other than that I can't say anything. You might try to login via SSH and check the logs on the system.

  Thanks for the answer (and the clarification that the red light is not a problem)

  When I plugged my board in again and  started it, it all of a sudden worked again with no fault whatsoever ... so, eh, maybe a loose contact somewhere on the board? I will check again to see whether I can reproduce this somehow.

  Anyway, this topic can be closed for now since it seems there was no hardware fault, only a user fault.
