Hi all,
I need to use HifiBerry DAC+ together with a Real Time Clock module (e.g. http://r.ebay.com/n5sL0S) to keep Raspberry Pi date & time. I guess both modules use I2C pins from the GPIO connector. Before buying a DAC+ I'd like to figure out how to connect and configure to make both work. Can anyone help please ?

Do you really need this? An RTC is only necessary if there is no network connection available. Otherwise, the RPI automatically syncs the time.
You can connect external components to the header pins parallel to the original pins.

This is quite unusual indeed but my project is an unconnected audio broadcast system. The playlist should have some points of synchronization during the day. That's why a RTC module is needed.
I understand that RTC module can be connected in parralel (hope there's some space left between two boards !) and that no specific software configuration is required.

Hi Rod,
you won't find space between the DAC+ and the Raspberry Pi for this. You need to mount your RTC on top of the board.
Are you using this for a personal project? For business customers that want to buy a larger number of boards, we offer a DAC that already has an RTC on board.
