Use Raspberry Pi with an Amp to play 1) digital music / MP3s / ... 2) play my records using a phono pre-amp.

I second this. Phono might be overkill but at least one aux in would be a great change.

Not necessarily a build in phono pre-amp, but 2 or more line inputs switchable by GPIO, build in before a hardware volume control, would allow to design individual pre-amps, headphone-amps, power-amps or even active speakers controlled by wifi to anyone’s taste and needs. I would love it.

A line-in connector for the AMP+ would be very useful.
