How DAC+ pro integrated dual-domain clock works

I've purchased DAC+ Pro.

I read about this DAC and how it communicates with RPI.

The thing I couldn't understand is How the dual-domain clock works?

I understood that there's the RPI master clock which pulses through I2S, and also there's the PCM5122 PLL. the flow as I understand is:

I2S -> BCLK & LRCLK -.> PCM5122 I2S input + PLL input (LRCLK only).

Where does the internal clocks fits in the whole flow/path?

Do they replace the RPI clock?

Do they work instead the PLL or in conjuction?

and another thing is why it is better than PCM5122 integrated PLL (which has variable frequency)?

Thanks in advance
