AMP+ to AMP2

i recently upgraded to AMP2 and the volume needs to be at 100% for typical outdoor listening ... anything below 80 is too low or all silent. i'm using a 18v power supply with debian linux with roon driver and roon software - my speaker is a klipsch outdoor rock speaker 8 Ohms

Do I understand you correctly: The output volume o fthe Amp2 is lower than the volume of the Amp+? In this case some settings are probably incorrect.
What's the output of

amixer
