ArchLinux no sound, dac recognised


i try to activate the DAC on a fresh install of Archlinux.
aplay l is giving me this:

but strangely theres no sound playing. mplayer gives me the following:

testimage is working fine, i hear the beep.
anybody knows what i could do?
