test image and Amp+ = no sound !!

Hi,

I have Amp+ and I am using the test image from hifiberry, which has the autodetection.
Well it has detected the soundcard correctly and all the setting are exactly as mentioned in
https://www.hifiberry.com/guides/configuring-linux-3-18-x/

The output of aplay -l is:

**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****

  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

I suppose it is correct.
I have connected the speaker wire to the screw terminal.

But still when I use aplay test.wav, I get following output, but no music
Playing WAVE 'test.wav' : Signed 16 bit Little Endian, Rate 8000 Hz, Stereo

Any ideas what i am doing wrong?

Follow up question: is it possible that I cannot play 8000 Hz wave file?

Nevermind, It is working. I was using wrong wav file.
When I downloaded a 16-bit 2 channel 48000Hz file, I can play it.

So, problem solved

Hi,

yes, the problem here was the sample rate. The Amp only accepts 44.1 and 48kHz.
