Linux Apollo 3.18.10+ #775 PREEMPT Thu Apr 2 18:10:12 BST 2015 armv6l GNU/Linux
PRETTY_NAME="Raspbian GNU/Linux 7 (wheezy)"
bcm2708_dmaengine module not loaded
module file /lib/modules/3.18.10+/kernel/drivers/dma/bcm2708-dmaengine.ko not found
aplay: device_list:252: no soundcards found...
aplay: main:682: audio open error: No such file or directory
Pretty clearly shows the bcm2708 dmaengine module isn't loaded, but I followed the guide for 3.18+ and placed that in the /etc/modules file and also updated the /boot/config.txt file and, of course, rebooted.
What do I do now? I'm very naive to the audio side of linux
Edit: Might as well dump the config files
# /etc/modules: kernel modules to load at boot time.
# This file contains the names of kernel modules that should be loaded
# at boot time, one per line. Lines beginning with "#" are ignored.
# Parameters can be specified after the module name.
# The following comes from HifiBerry
#snd_bcm2835 # guide says to remove this

/etc/modprobe.d/ has multiple blacklist files
I assumed alsa was the correct one to use, since I don't really know what fbdev is
