Hello,
could you make a BNC ouput version of digi+ card ? The idea is to have a real digital 75ohms interface for raspberry.
of course this bnc version would be compatible with your cases.
Thanks

HiFiBerry team Hi,
a BNC version would not be compatible with our cases as BNC connectors are much bigger than RCA connectors.
As most consumer audio products use RCA, there is only very little demand for a BNC version. We will think about this, but I can't say if we will develop this.
Best regards

davor281 Hello, will borrow this topic...
I guess it is not to difficult to desolder the RCA connector if I decide to replace it with a BNC?
I am aware of the warranty issue and that some workaround on the case will have to be made.
Thank you,

HiFiBerry team Hi,
in general it shouldn't be to difficult. However, a BNC connector won't fit in the same place as it will be much bigger.

davor281 Hi,
thank you for the quick reply. I was thinking to use the BNC connector which would be fixed on the case and connected to the board with a 75 Ohm wire, not the one that is soldered directly to the board. As I look at the pictures, this might be possible. It was on some CD players...
Thank you,

davor281 Hello again,
just a short update... I managed to replace RCA S/PDIF with a BNC. I didn't solder the BNC directly on board, I used panel mount connector and short wires. At least in my situation - using Ampenhol panel mount BNC connector - there was enough space.
ENjoY,
Davor.
