Hi, I have a new Hifiberry I'm using with a Raspberry pi B+ and raspbmc. In short, the system software sees the ALSA card (it's an option in the audio setting), but there's no audio output from the card. I get output from the other ports, when I just switch from the ALSA card to PI:HDMI or analagoue. I tried two pi's and have the same issue. Is there something beyond enabling external sound cards, and selecting the ALSA card in the software that I am missing? I'm running the latest build from February.

HiFiBerry team Hi,
in the last time we haven't tested Raspbmc. I'm not sure if this is a Raspbmc problem.
First I would recommend to test the board with our test image from here:

drdude Thanks for the info Daniel. The tone does play, and afterward again no audio output on Raspbmc when ALSA (hifiberry...) is selected. This implies the problem then lies with the newest build of Raspbmc, although I have not used this card before with any previous builds. Is there a solution to the problem within Raspbmc? Is there a previous build which does work? Thank you. -
HiFiBerry team As the most development is going into OSMC, I would not try to stick with Raspbmc, but migrate to OSMC or OpenElec.
I can't say which previous release might work as there are so many releases and we can't test them all.
Best regards
Daniel
