Hi,
I would like to buy hifiberry dac+ for my raspberry b+ but i need important info to do so:
How much power supply I need in order to make both pi and your shield working?
Is there a jack input for this purpose?
Can I drive speaker directly from the shield ? if yes wich power can it gives to the 4ohm speaker?
Can I use other GPIO pins (for other tasks) after connecting the shield ?
Please answer me in order to uy it
thanks a lot

HiFiBerry team Dear Nico,
the DAC is a line-level digital-analog converter. You can't connect speakers to it, but you need an external amplifier. If you want to connect loudspeakers directly, you should have a look at the HiFiBerry Amp:

If you want to use an external amplifier, you can use the DAC. To connect something to the GPIO you need to solder a connector to the board. Check the information about GPIO usage here: https://www.hifiberry.com/guides/gpio-usage-of-the-hifiberry-products/
Best regards
Daniel
