Hi,
I think my Digi Board is broken. As well as Toslink and Coaxial connection won't work. My Yamaha amp says "INPUT DATA ERR". I have tried the hifiberry test image on 2 different Raspberries (Modell B). None works.
Is there something more to test? Has anybody an idea?
Thanks and best regards
Dirk

HiFiBerry team Hi Dirk,
did you check the solder connections on the P5 connector? With old model A/B this is often the cause for problems.

adent9642 Hi Daniel,
I'm impressed, because today is sunday and your response time is very short. :-)
A year ago, I bought a DAC Board. The DAC Board works fine and needs also the solder connections. So I think the solder connection are OK, aren't.

HiFiBerry team Hi Dirk,
sometimes some of us also do some things on sunday. I'm not sure if the board it broken or there is an incompatibility with your receiver. We can replace the unit. If you live in the EU, please send it to our office in Germany (address can be found here: https://www.hifiberry.com/shop/money-back-guarantee/). We will send you another Digi.

adent9642 Hi Daniel,
you're right - it's a incompatibility with my Yamaha DSP-A2. A friend of mine tested the Digi with the Testimage with a Harman Kardon receiver and it works. :-( So the Digi isn't broken, but I will send back to your German office.
Thanks for your expert assistance
best regards

HiFiBerry team A short update here: I will get an DSP-A2 next week. I hope that we find out why the DSP-A2 isn't working smoothly with the Digi.

bestguy62 My DSP-A2 is giving the same error. There is another post, where the DSP-A2 is not working...
I'm sad because in general the DSP-A2 is a very good amplifier, also for stereo output, which is not often given in a surround unit. -
HiFiBerry team Give us some time, we will do some test with the DSP-A2 in the next weeks.
Best regards

bestguy62 To confirm I tried the Raspian with test tone generator, same result. -
HiFiBerry team Ok, I have found the problem with the DSP-A2. We can fix this in the driver. More details here:
