I have set up a Raspberry Pi B+ with an Amp+.
I loaded MusicBox (both 0.5.2 and 0.5.3) and followed the guide to update the kernel and setup the /etc/modules and /etc/asound.conf files.
But after doing this and rebooting aplay -l showed no soundcards.
I repeated this some times with always the same results.
Are there any tricks or checks in order to fix this issue?

HiFiBerry team This seems to be the same problem as here: https://www.hifiberry.com/forums/topic/problem-configuring-amp/
We're investigating the Kernel issue.

HiFiBerry team Ok, the problem has been identified. As a fast fix, download the device-tree-file here: https://www.hifiberry.com/files/hifiberry-amp-overlay.dtb and copy it to /boot/overlays
Then configure the device tree overlay as:
device_tree_overlay=overlays/hifiberry-amp-overlay.dtb
I’ve updated the guide here:
https://www.hifiberry.com/guides/configuring-linux-3-18-x/
We will create a patch and send it to the kernel developers and hope it will be included in the official Raspberry Pi kernel soon.
Best regards

Edwin Kiel Hi Daniel,
I applied this patch yesterday on my Setup and it worked. Really great Sound on my Speakers.
The Setup was based on MusicBox 0.5.2 (not the latest) after applying all the Setups that were described before.
I will now Setup a new Card based on the latest MusicBox, hopefully I also get this running.
Thanks for the solution.
Edwin
