I just soldered on my HiFiBerry DAC to my Raspberry Pi B. I am running RuneAudio as my OS. I have my DAC selected as the primary output. When I go to play music, I hear nothing. However, whenever I start or stop audio, I can hear a click through my amplifier. I think I may not have soldered it correctly, but does the clicking indicate that it is indeed soldered? I'm a bit puzzled as to what is going on, and any help would be much appreciated.

HiFiBerry team Dear Ryan,
please use our test image to check that the hardware works correctly:

Ryan McClure Hello Daniel,
Thank you for replying. I tried the test image and did not hear anything. I suppose, then, that I have not soldered the header properly. Here is a picture of my (very slapdash) soldering...I'm not sure if you can tell if it is not soldered properly or not.
What do you think is causing the clicking sound when I start playing and stop playing music when I have the DAC enabled, however, if the DAC isn't properly connected? I'm really curious
Thank you! -
HiFiBerry team Dear Ryan,
this does not look like a good connection. You need to check every pin with a multimeter. Use good solder fluid while soldering, this will make things a lot easier.
About the clicking sound: I can't say what it is.
Best regards
Daniel
