I have A HifiBerry DAC on a Pi running volumio 1.41. Yesterday I tried playing and I got no sound. In Volumio, I can only see the ALSA output device. Trying to do anything with the DAC driver resulted in a 'background worker is busy' error.
I reimaged the SD card and I still have the same result. Therefore I suspect that the DAC may be the problem.
Can you suggest how I proceed?

HiFiBerry team Hi Tery,
this is for sure a software problem as the hardware of the HiFiBerry DAC does not give any feedback to the operating system. What is the output of aplay -l?
Best regards

Terry Booth I've just replaced the DAC card with another. And the PI is now working. I'll try putting back the HiFiBerry. -

However, I accidentally reverted to Volumio 1.4 (from 1.41) in all the changes. So, it appears to have been something to do with the 1.41 image/SD card/software.
Thanks.
