Hello.
This sounds very interesting. Reading through the forum, I notice no-one seems to use OpenELEC. Are RaspBMC or XBian or ... better?
And: Does HiFiBerry work on OpenELEC?

HiFiBerry team Hi Hannes,
we do not work on any of the software projects by ourself. We only support the developers. We have a very good collaboration with Sam from Raspbmc. I don't got any feedback from the OpenElec developers yet. Therefore it seems, that OpenElec has other priorities at the moment. If we get contacted by the developers, we will support them and find out how we can help to get HiFiBerry support into OpenElec.
Best regards

Hannes Frank Herzlichen Dank!
So I'll be switching to Raspbmc (although the imminent migration to LinXBMC.org scares me a little - Raspbmc will probably become obsolete...)
In the Forum, you write: "We also think about having the DAC with all connectors soldered already."
That would be interesting for clumsy people like me. When will that be available - if at all? -
HiFiBerry team Hi Hannes,
we expect the soldered version to be available in the second half of february. However, you still have to solder the P5 connector to the Raspberry Pi.
Best regards

HiFiBerry team Just an update here. There Dom from Broadcom built an OpenElec version with HiFiBerry DAC support. I will check it in the next days. As some patches were necessary, it might still take some time until it is in the official OpenElec build.
I will keep you informed.
Best regards
