HiFiBerry team Hi,
the IQ5 is a nice speaker. We don't have experiences with it, but there is no reason why it shouldn't work nicely with the Amp.

CosyCat Okay nice! One last question.
Ive read some solder is needed? But on amp page it say no soldering needed.

Guess I hqve to buy new pi

HiFiBerry team Hi,
the old Amp for the old Raspberry PI is not available anymore. The new one for the B+ and RPI2 is easier to use as it does not require soldering.

CosyCat Did buy an amp+ and new old rasppi b+ and connecting things was super easy to and sound is okay.
I use picoreplayer is there a setting I can configure stuff like output sound volym anything else I need to know for best sound and volym?
Only one thing thats bug me is that the sound stops sometime on high volym I dont listen to music that high volume(just testing)but can it be fixed?

HiFiBerry team Hi CosyCat,
this sounds like a thermal issue. The Amp has internal overheating protection that turns off the power stage if it gets to hot. You might need active cooling in your case.
