I'm planning to build an internet radio and considering using Amp+.
I'd like to know more on how the Amp+ powers the Pi:
Does it use a linear or a switching regulator?
How much current can I pull on the 5V rail without disrupting the operation of the Pi and Amp+? (Assuming no USB devices)

Georg Salentinig I have a very similar question. I just got the combination of AMP+ and the 18V MeanWell Powersupply sold by HifiBerry.
I plan to use the AMP+ on a Raspberry Pi 2 together with the official 7" touchscreen.
On RaspiTV they measured the power consumption of the display at 2.25W (i.e 450mA @ 5V).
Is the 5V voltage regulator on the AMP+ able to deliver these additional 450mA?
I.e. would you recommend doing this?
TIA, KR
Georg
