Hello together,
i successfully installed my amp+ and pi 2 (Power supply 18V, 4,2A) with squeezeplug software.
I have a pair of 4Ohm speaker (Bang & Olufsen S25), i i connect one of them the sound is really great.
If i connect the second speaker the sound on both is very flat and without bass.
Is my amp+ unit defective?
Can anyone help me?
Regards,
Dominik

HiFiBerry team Hi Dominik,
if the Amp is working, it is ok. However the frequency response of the Amp is flat. There is no bass boost as it is implemented in some system. You might use a software equalizer to boost the bass.

ds1707 Hello Daniel,
Thank you for your quick reply.
Is there a tutorial how to implement a equalizer?
I tried in the software but this doesn't work.
Maybe you can port a link for such a tutorial.
Thank you,.

ds1707 Hello Daniel,
I have successfully installed a software equalizer (alsaequal) and put up the bass frequencies.
But with maximum i still get very flat sound.
Is there a possibility to tweak this?
At that moment i am not that satisfied with the amp+.

meiermi1 Hi Dominik
Did the tips from https://www.hifiberry.com/forums/topic/use-of-alsa/ solved your problem?
Kind regards -
ds1707 If i only use 1 speaker the sound is good.
As soon as i connect the second it gets flat, not that satisfying for me.
Any ideas? -
HiFiBerry team Try to reverse the polarity of one speaker. It is possible that one speaker is reverse this would result in a loss of bass.
