DAC on AMP+ different then only DAC?

Hi Daniel,

What is the difference between the HiFiBerry DAC and the AMP-DAC?
When using the PI 2 + AMP+ + Minimserver every stream 16/24 bits and 44.1/48/96/172/192 kHz no problem at all but when Songcast only a 44.1/48 kHz 16 bits is allowed.

But users using the DAC indicating the Songcast stream is causing no problems at all?

Hi Ad,

the Amp is not a HiFiBerry DAC and an additional Amp, but a completely different design. The Amp supports only 44.1 and 48kHz. Higher sample rates have to be downconverted in software. The DAC/DAC+ support also sample rates up to 192kHz.

this is not possible. Only a single add-on-card is supported.
