How to use amixer with DAC

Regarding link https://www.hifiberry.com/guides/mixer-settings/ sset 'PCM' is the way to address DAC+

What to use for the older DAC?
When I use PCM I get the error message: Invalid card number.

Hi Munich,

the older DAC does not have any ALSA mixer controls.
