installed the digi+ onto my new b+, green light on digi, pi not working. tried it on a second pi to make sure the pi wasnt broken and i now have 2 broken b+s. Not very happy to be quite honest
unplugged pi, pushed board on, switched on pi, green light on digi, nothing more than a red light on pi. unplugged pi removed digi+ plugged pi back in, red and green light on pi, green flashes once then a a very sad little mini flash of the green light as if its trying to boot and nothing. took sd card out of pi, checked it on pc, fine. put it back in pi, nothing. not happy at all
luckyly i have another 2 b's so my music can still be played, i have a friend at farnell in leeds who supplies me them with discount so its not a massive financial loss. I'm just not happy, i tought these things were tested before posting
I'm very sorry this happened. All our boards haven been tested before shipment and we have never seen a case like this before. Please send us the defective Raspberry Pi and the Digi. We need to investigate to find out what happened with your Raspberry Pi. It is important that you do not only send the Digi, but also the Raspberry Pi. Please send it to our Swiss office with the declaration "defective parts, value €10". The address is
Modul 9 GmbH Bachmattstr. 14 8932 Mettmenstetten Switzerland
not sure how, but the 2 micro sd cards must have got corrupt, maybe static from pushing the digi on. i got a new micro sd card, reinstalled volumio put it in the b+ and it booted. tried it in the other and it booted. plugged the digi+ back in and i'm in audio heaven. thanks for the quick reply, but also thanks for an amazing product. no clicks or pops on music above 24/96, my audiolab q-dac now is really sounding great. i'll be ordering another digi+ cheers
good to hear this. If you just write the image to the SD cards again, it doesn't work? This is also a bit strange. However I'm happy that it is working for you now :-)
Hi there, have Audiolab 8200CD and want to play music from Raspberry Pi (new model) from USB-drive to coaxial-in of the Audiolab-built-in-DAC! Seems I have to buy Digi+ board and I have to setup the Raspberry with OS and player-software, is this right? Are there any tested configurations, I am newbie with this stuff!?
You can play around with most of the distributions to test them even without the Digi, they will use the onboard sound (which is not good quality, is ok t check out the distribution).
