HiFiBerry with Bose Acoustimass?

I have no expertise to see if HiFiBerry is powerful enough for the Bose Acoustimass 5


it says in the manual
"Your speaker system is designed for use with receivers or amplifiers rated from 10 to 200 watts per channel with 4 to 8 ohm impedance"

and it says the HiFiBerry is 25w but then again some say watts isn't everything?

  Dear David,
  
  this depends on the volume you want to achieve. A 100W amplifier can achieve volume that is about 6dB more than a 25W amplifier. However I don't think that the AM5 will really work at 100W - the satellites don't really look like they can run at 100W.
  If the Accoustimass is rated between 4 and 8 Ohm, it will work without problems.

  The AM5 speakers are passive, will the Hifiberry and RPi be able to also supply them with power?

  Yes, that's exactly the idea of the Amp. It is used to connect a pair of passive speakers.
