I received my HiFiBerry DAC+ RCA today. After following the set up instructions, I was able to make it work but I'm only getting sound on the right channel. I'll appreciate your help as I don't know how to continue from here, if it's something i'm doing wrong or just a defective board.
Kind Regards.

HiFiBerry team Hi Diego,
can you test it again with our test image from here:
http://www.hifiberry.com/guides/sd-card-images/
While we test our boards on both outputs, there is a very small risk that the board got damaged during the transport. If the same problem occurs with the test image, we will replace your board.
Best regards

Diego Cormace Hi Daniel,
I've tested it with the raspbian image and I've found the same problem: sound only on the right channel. So it seems to be a hardware problem. I'll send it back tomorrow for replacement.
Thank you very much.
Regards.
Diego. -

Nuno Silva i receive mine today and i have the same problem. you don´t test the dacs before shipping???
very disapointing :(
i will send mine too....
my order is #15385 -
HiFiBerry team Dear Nuno,
we test all our DACs before shipping them. In very rare cases boards can be damages during shipment. However having 2 defects in a few days in not normal. We have to further inspect these boards and see what's wrong here.
Did you use our test image?
Best regards
Daniel -
Nuno Silva Hello, yes.. first i tried volumio, then runeaudio... and finally the hifiberry test image...
in my case on the white out work fine (left channel)...but i don´t have sound from the red one (right channel..
best regards.. -
HiFiBerry team Dear Nuno,

luke.4b I'm also having this problem, order #15684.
I wonder if these other people had the 3.5mm jack version?
I thought I'd broken a pin in the jack socket as it's mounted in cantilever so I un-soldered it and fitted a new one but still have the same problem. I've had a go at it with my continuity tester and with the jack plugged in this is how the connections are:
I'm not sure what the inner two pins are for, they don't seem to connect to anything (at least with the jack inserted, I guess they're part of the switching thing?)
Did you find out yet if these other problems were hardware or software? -
HiFiBerry team Hi Luke,
it seems that a few units had problems with the soldering of R3 or R6. You can send us the DAC+ back, we will replace it.
Best regards
Daniel -
