i just ordered one and i can not wait to test it.

Hi Steen,
when will the hifiberry amp be supported in the picoreplayer 3?
i really look forward to start using the new airplay functionality.
thx for giving some feedback.
Hi Pieter
Sorry I don't understand. HifiBerry Amp has been supported in piCorePlayer for a long time already.
Is it not working for you?
Regards
Steen
Hi,
indeed it is working for version 1 and version 2 but in the version 3 i can not even select the hiafiberry amp in audio output.
that is the reason why i ask.
thx for the quick reply
Ok I will have a look later today.
Could you please try to select "beta" or "advanced" in the tab at the bottom when you are at the "main" page.
Then I think all cards should show on the "Squeezelite" page.
Please report back.
Steen
Hi Steen,
i have checked and indeed in the beta page i can see the amp.
What does this mean? i prefer not to have beta running in my home.
Are there plans to move them from beta to advanced? like in version 2?
thx for the feedback
Hi Pieter.
That is good - you can simply use it from here without any problems or risk.
The beta switch only expose more options on the web-pages - some might be not very useful, other are experimental, but none of them can damage anything.
The drop-down list should only contain the DACs that actually fit to the Raspberry board piCorePlayer is running on. So the DACs available if you are using a RPi1 will be different from those that will show up if you are using a RPi3+. But the beta switch will let you choose all DACs without any filtering.
I think the problem is that you maybe are using one of the new RPI's version 1.2 and I don't think piCorePlayer can recognize this board.
So could you please from the "main" page choose "Diagnostics" and on this page select "Raspberry Pi". On this page I'm interested in what you have in the following info:

Revision:

Hi, so are you connecting the hifiberry AMP to the rpi with wires?
Hi Steen,
there was a HiFiBerry Amp (without the +) also for the old Raspberry Pi 1. We don't sell it anymore, but there a quite some in the wild.
Best regards,
Daniel
Thanks, i forgot that board, so we need to allow this board for the early rpi's as well.
But good to see that Pieter got it working.

Steen
Hi i will try this week if the amp is working in beta mode.
at least i can select it now.
feedback will follow soon.
Hi all,
the amp is working in the latest audio version 3.11. i could also install the shair-sync but it never shows up on my i devices.
even after rebooting multiple times.
So for now i reverted back to version 2.06 where all works fine for now.
just let me know once it is released and ready in version 3.x
Hi all,
when wil version 3 have an update for my problem above?
thx for keeping me posted.
Version 2.06 seems unstable for the airplay functionality. sometimes it is available sometimes is is not.
THx for the feedback
Hi all,
any news on my request above?
the amp is working but shairport is still not working.
thx for the feedback
