I received my HiFiBerryAmp yesterday, soldered the connector, downloaded raspbian and shairport. After following your software installation instructions the music played from my loudspeakers. My first impression is ++++. However I can't get it to play LOUD..., but on normal listening levels it's ok.
How to playback to airplay(shairport) form a Linux computer? (off topic... but..)

HiFiBerry team Hi Ole,
what speakers are you using. With high-efficiency speakers (90db/W or more) even the 20-25W (on 4 Ohm at 18V) are enough to output VERY LOUD music. However with speakers in the 80db/W the power is a bit limited.
Best regards
Daniel
P.S. For playback from Linux you might look into pulseaudio. You can use it to stream over the network. Setup is more complicated than Airport. Here is something I did a long time ago: http://www.crazy-audio.com/projects/raspberry-pi-for-audio-distribution/ -
Ole-Johan Lauvås Hi Daniel
I am using a pair of self made speakers. They are 87db/W. I made them for 22 years ago to replace my home made electrostatic speakers. The speakers does not need a sub as they are similar in the bass as TLS speakers. However it's on cost of efficiency.
What if we made a digital output stage for electrostatic speaker panels without step up transformers?
