Dropout with flac and openelec / DAC

Hi Folks

OpenElec with HDMI playing flac is ok. After installing hifiberry DAC mp3 still fine but playing FLAC produces dropout 2 or 3 per minute, 1-2 10th of second long. Any idea?

PI is running on 1GHZ, putting to 700MHZ increases the problem.

Hi Arthur,

unfortunately I don't have experience with high-res playback in XBMC. I'm not sure how good this is working. For pure music playback, I would recommend a music-distribution like Volumio, RuneAudio, PiMusicBox or similar. These work well with 192kHz FLAC files. I guess, the FLAC decoding process of XBMC is not really optimized for the Raspberry Pi.
Maybe users in the OpenElec forum have ideas how to improve this.
