Official 7'' Touchscreen not working on HifiberryOS64

Hi, the hifiberryOS64 is a supersweet OS so far! I have several devices and all of them work fine (currently on alpha 8). On my raspberry 3b connected with amp2 and the official raspberry 7'' touchscreen and the latest hifiberryos-pi3 installed I had no problems. However the HifiberryOS64 (I tried different releases) won't boot. On the start screen I get the official HifiberryOS logo, which fades to grey and it gets stuck. When I pull the jumper cables from the touchscreen it boots without any problems, but headless. Am I missing something?

  What jumper cable are you talking about? You should only connect the dsiplay with the ribbon cable.

  Sorry for not being precise: I meant the cable for 5v and ground.

  The Amp2 isn't designed to power Pi and a display. While it might work in some cases, it might not run stable and the system might get stuck. Try powering the display with a seperate 5V power supply. 

  
  The Amp4 Pro can deliver 5A power to the 5V, this allows to directly power power-hungry devices like a touchscreen.

  Thank You for your support! I just powered the amp2 (with the Pi) and the touchscreen separately. Still no success. Is there a jumper that tells the screen and/or the amp where to get its power?

  You have the screen only connected via the ribbon cable? This should work.

  Yes. Ribbon cable ist connected, and it's mounted on the Pi and the Pi is mounted on the Amp2. I'm going to try to disconnect the screen from the Pi, so it's only connected over the ribbon cable. Perhaps this will work... I'll keep you updated for others who struggle with the same issue.

  Edit: still the same behavior: when I turn it all on the start screen appears and than it blurs into grey. Strange...

  OK, I tested everything above. I even changed the Pi3b with a Pi4. All with the same result: starting screen fades into grey. Aren't here any users who use the hifiberryOS64 with a working touchscreen? Greetings!
